Founded in 2002 by Jack Trammell, an accomplished music producer and composer whose work spans film, television, and movie trailers, Fat Cat Recording was built on a passion for exceptional sound and creative excellence.
Today, the studio is owned and operated by Sean Stack, who began his career under Jack’s mentorship in 2008. With over 15 years of professional experience as a producer, recording engineer, and mixer, Sean carries that foundation forward, combining technical expertise with a collaborative approach to helping artists bring their music to life.
Built to capture the performance.
Great recordings start with the right environment. Fat Cat is a purpose-built recording studio with a dedicated live room, isolation booth, and control room designed to give musicians room to perform and engineers the control to capture every detail.
At the heart of the studio is an SSL Origin analog console paired with Pro Tools HDX, supported by a carefully chosen collection of outboard gear, microphones, instruments, and amplifiers. It’s a flexible setup for everything from tracking a full band to dialing in the final mix.
